The Brief
A new build on the edge of open prairie called for an elevated deck that made the most of the long views, with a staircase down to grade and a sheltered patio tucked beneath.
What We Built
A two-story composite deck on natural timber posts, wrapped in black aluminum cable railing that all but disappears against the horizon. A switchback staircase steps down to the yard, and the framing overhead creates a covered lower patio off the walk-out level.
