A tongue-and-groove patio cover on stained timber posts, turning an exposed slab into a shaded outdoor room.
The Brief
An open patio off the back of the house got too much sun to be usable in summer. The goal was a permanent cover that felt like an extension of the home rather than a bolt-on.
What We Built
A patio cover with a warm, vaulted tongue-and-groove wood ceiling, carried on stained timber posts and tied into the existing roofline. Recessed lights and a fan make the space work into the evening.
